In addition to all that is available in the Wayfinder dashboard, Wayfinder will also deliver daily, updated RPM guidance at the vessel’s 09:00 local time while underway. In these emails, you can find a summary of the suggested guidance over the next 48-hour period.
RPM Setting and Speed Optimization: Wayfinder’s optimized RPM suggestion over the next 48-hrs with predicted speed and fuel consumption. These values are the same as that displayed in the 48-hour Dashboard in Wayfinder.
Weather Summary: Summary of weather conditions according to the suggested rpm guidance. The values for each weather variable are displayed as the max value over the next 6-hour period.
Waypoint List: A list of all upcoming waypoints in the next 48-hours.
Attached Files: Each email will have a attached route file and may have an attached PDF for additional guidance and visuals if the vessel is experiencing internet issues. These files for intended for use on your local ECDIS machine. There is no need to import the attached ECDIS file from daily guidance back into Wayfinder daily.
Wayfinder may also recommend a course adjustment in daily guidance comms if a significant gain can be achieved by taking advantage of more favorable conditions.
