Overview

The Wayfinder guidance tab aggregates and provides an at a glance view of the last 30 days of RPM and waypoint suggestions. The shoreside team should review the guidance data to ensure that Wayfinder recommendations are being followed by the vessel team and better understand the reasons for non-adherence days and route rejections.

Please follow up with the Wayfinder routing team ([email protected]) if you have any questions about the guidance provided and/or there are adjustments.

If the RPM discrepancy for any day should not be counted against the total adherence metric, you can justify this event directly in the application (details below).

Review Guidance

The Guidance tab includes RPM adherence and suggestion acceptance information over the past 30 days. The orange line shows the recommended RPM given by Wayfinder each day and the grey line represents the vessels reported RPM for that same day.

The total number of route suggestions given and count of those accepted can also be reviewed here. For more details on the route suggestions themselves, please refer to the End of Voyage Reports or reach out to our routing team at [email protected].

Please note that this data is reporting for a rolling 30 days window and may include RPM and route guidance across multiple voyages.

Justify RPM Discrepancies

Within the Guidance Tab, operators will also have the option to Justify RPM discrepancies if there is a clearly defined reason for that day of non-adherence.

Days of non-adherence will be indicated with red shading in the time series plot and a red dot on the left side rail. For more details on the day/event and to review the master's remarks, you can expand the column for each date. If it is confirmed that this day should NOT be counted against the vessel for RPM adherence, you can do the following:

  1. Toggle Discrepancy Justified

2. Select the reason for non adherence (weather or sea conditions, speed instruction change, sea trials, etc)

3. Click Save

The RPM adherence percentage will then update accordingly. Please note that this feature should not be used to justify ALL days of non adherence, but only those where there is a valid reason (ie the reason can be found on the dropdown list).

Please refer to the video below (01:45) for a quick tutorial on RPM justification.
