In addition to the daily routing guidance send while a vessel is underway, Wayfinder will provide Pre-departure plans and voyage calculations based on the route provided by the master.

Pre-departure plans will be provided via email up to 48 hours ahead of your ETD and will provide a snapshot of the upcoming weather and optimized RPM and route for your upcoming voyage.

If there is an alternate route option that is better suited for your vessel ahead of departure, Wayfinder will present it in the pre-departure plan for your review.

Pre departure plan details and timing

Please note the following timelines for pre departure plans:

• Routes imported at least 48 hrs before ETD will receive a pre voyage plan ~48 hr ahead of voyage ETD
• Routes imported at least 24 hrs before ETD will receive a pre voyage plan ~24 hr ahead of voyage ETD
• Routes imported within 6-24 hrs of ETD will be reviewed and returned ASAP
• Routes imported within 6 hrs of ETD will not receive a pre departure plan and Wayfinder will revert with first guidance at time of ETD

Note: Request fulfillment may be delayed if there is any missing voyage information (route, ETD, constraints, draft, etc)
