Route Explorer is the interface for reviewing a set of voyage simulations. There are a couple key features for review when viewing these voyage simulations:

What You’ll See

• Tabular View

  • Each voyage simulation is labeled as its own row. Economic and operational details about the simulation can be reviewed in the tabular view.
  • Click on the header to sort the simulations by each column’s metric.
  • The weather along route graph is available, just like in the Voyage view.

• Interface Built for Review

  • Simulations in the Route Explorer will not directly impact the voyage until a route is suggested or followed.

  • Links are stable - you can copy and send them, and expect to see the same comparison view.

  • Weather in the map view can be toggled between the weather as of the time the comparison was generated (default) and the most recent forecast.

    

• Actionable simulations

  • After review, operators can click Suggest to push a route suggestion to the captain.

  • Captains or operators can also directly Follow a route presented in the Route Explorer. This will immediately update the voyage to follow that route, just as if you followed a route suggestion.

    

When You’ll See This

Wayfinder will provide a set of voyage plans primarily in heavy weather conditions. In these cases, you’ll have access to several strategies which the captain and operator can choose from.

You can also expect to see this page when you request a set of simulations from Wayfinder via email.

You’ll access this page via a link included in your pre-departure plan email, or included in your daily routing guidance email.
