When to use this functionality:

• Alternative Route Simulation
  • Import ECDIS file with desired Waypoints
• Alternative Speed Simulation
  • Use Import & Compare Route
  • Import ECDIS file with desired speed profile
  • Speed profiles from imported routes will not carryover into daily guidance.
  • If vessel intends to follow speed profile of imported route, update speed constraint if applicable.
• Alternative ETA/RTA simulation
  • Use Import & Compare Route
  • Import ECDIS file with desired ETA/RTA
• Do NOT use All Voyages > New Voyages for these updates and comparisons. This creates an Onward route with the updated rotation and does not change your active route

How to use this functionality:

While your voyage is underway, you may update you active route using the Import & Compare Route button highlighted below.

Please use this feature when you need to change the intended route on your current voyage for any reason (ex. port change, weather considerations, medical diversion, etc.) If there are any changes that need to be made in addition to the update route file, these can also be applied during route import and though the Edit Voyage button.
