Vessel Reports
In the vessel data tab, operators have the ability to view vessel-related data within the Wayfinder application. This will allow operators to more easily and quickly identify and understand any data quality or reporting issues.
Within the Vessel Data tab, users are able to view:
- All reports received by Sofar
- Raw parsed data
- Reported performance data
- Reported vessel status
- Sofar Weather Analysis
- Report timestamp, Hours SLR, Receive timestamp, Delayed By (hours between reported -> received)
- Alerts for missing reports and missing data
- Data Health score

Data Health Assessment
At the top of the vessel reports page, the Data Health section provides an at-a-glance assessment of each vessel's noon report data over the selected time period. Expand the section to view:
- Overall assessment — Healthy, Degraded, or Inconclusive based on whether quality and availability targets are met
- Quality score — the percentage of noon reports that passed Sofar's validation checks.* A lower quality score means more reports have missing fields or out-of-range values. This score must be ≥80% for an overall Healthy data quality assessment.
- Availability score — the percentage of expected noon reports that were received on time.** A lower availability score means there are gaps or delays in reporting. This score must be ≥80% for an overall Healthy data quality assessment.
- Initial vs. Current — Initial reflects the score based on report data when first received. Current reflects the score after any corrections or updates. An improvement from Initial to Current indicates that report corrections have improved data health.
Data Health is also visible in fleet view as a column, showing each vessel's assessment at a glance. Click through to the vessel reports page for the full breakdown.

Important Notes
*The following validation checks are completed for all incoming reports
- Missing fields (draft, RPM, main engine consumption, power, speed over ground, distance, hours, position)
- Invalid fields (main engine consumption, speed over ground, distance, hours, position)
- Invalid fields based on vessel particulars (RPM, power, draft, displacement)
** If any reports are missing initially, this will impact the “initial availability score”; if/when these reports are received, the “current availability score” will be updated. All submitted reports are considered “on time” if they are received within 30 hr of the report timestamp.
